Dealing with one off pieces, there's always the temptation to keep an item for myself. Particularly as I know many of these pieces will never be in my collection again. If I sell it and can never have the opportunity to re purchase it second hand again, I'll need to pay full price at Tiffany & Co. Of all the pieces I've sold there's one piece that I do miss. It was a 2.22tcw Heart Pendant. It retails for well over $17000 dollars. This is it below:
Interestingly, it was a difficult piece to capture the beauty via a photo.
After I sold it, I did miss it. Recently I've had the opportunity to purchase the size smaller than this, also combined with diamonds on the chain. The heart pendant contains 0.62tcw of diamonds and the necklace 12 X 0.05ct bezel set diamonds for a grand total of 1.19cts. Interestingly this isn't an Elsa Peretti DBTY design, but an in house Tiffany & Co. design. The heart pendant is one of the most beautifully proportioned I have seen.
Again, I'm wondering if I should keep this necklace. One reason I really do want to list it in my store is to have a piece of jewellery that isn't an engagement ring! Usually engagement rings are the hardest to come by, but as with the pre loved market, nothing is predictable and I find myself with many engagement rings and no fine jewellery!
